All the franchises have declared their retained players. let us look at the names of player retained by franchises, and their remaining purse ahead of the IPL mega auction 2025. We will also highlight the options for RTM (Right-to-Match) at the IPL mega auction 2025.
Mumbai Indians: Retained players and remaining purse
Mumbai Indians (MI) retained five players from their existing squad. Jasprit Bumrah is the highest-paid retained player in terms of money. MI spent INR 75 crores out of their 120 crores. MI will go to the IPL mega auction 2025 with a remaining purse of INR 45 crores.
MI are now eligible for the RTM option for one uncapped player only. MI let go of a couple of big players like Ishan Kishan and Tim David. Hardik Pandya will remain their captain for IPL 2025.

KKR are not eligible for the RTM option in the IPL Mega Auction 2025. KKR let go of a couple of big players like Venkatesh Iyer, Starc, Salt, and Nitish Rana. KKR will have to search for a captain in the IPL Mega Auction 2025 as they released their existing captain Shreyas Iyer.
