Rahul went on saying that he’d just like to add that Rohit and all of these boys deserve a lot of credit for their fighting spirit and never-say-die approach in many instances, even after reaching the finals.

Rohit explained to Prime Minister Modi that Team India got the victory on that particular pitch. All of us have worked so hard for an ICC Trophy. They came very close to winning an ICC trophy a couple of times but were unable to finish on top.

Rishabh Pant encountered a fatal car accident one and a half years ago. At that time, Narendra Modi once called his mother and gave assurance of the best medical treatment possible even abroad if needed.
Rishabh Pant replied to the Prime Minister that after that accident he was broken. Many people around him were doubtful of him for playing cricket in future. Pant stated that many people even told him that he might be able to play as a batsman but wicket-keeping would be burdensome.
Rishabh Pant calmed his mind after getting a phone call from the Prime Minister at that time. He got motivated. He worked very hard to come back into the game he loves so much. He wanted to play for India once again and wished to win a trophy for India. Finally, He did it!

PM Narendra Modi asked Virat Kohli regarding his forms in the 2024 T20 WC. He realised that this time his form was full of ups and downs. PM Narendra Modi also said “Everyone was thinking that Virat’s total was 75, then 76. So, there are occasions when everyone agrees that you will do it. What if you become the driving force, but how would your family react?”
“The only thing is that whatever I was trying to do, it was not happening. So I felt that when you try so much from your side and you think that I will do it, then somewhere your ego comes to the fore.” – he explained.
Virat once told Dravid that he hadn’t done justice to both himself and the team until then. Dravid responded: “When the situation comes, I am confident that you will perform.”
Virat stated that when a couple of wickets fell quickly, he was stuck in a zone. He was concentrating entirely on their team’s most important aspects. They subsequently recognized that everything transpired in its own time, and the final match and scenario demonstrated their commitment to the squad.
Virat recognised, “Whatever is meant to happen happens in whatever way. So this was going to happen to me and my teammates. When you look back at the game, the way we won it, and the situation at the end, you can see that we lived every single ball.”
Virat went on to say that at one point, we had given up hope. Then Hardik took a wicket. Then, one ball after another, that energy was built up again. So I am happy that I could contribute to such a big day for the team after a difficult time. And the way our day went and the way we won, I said that I would never be able to say that in my life. So I was just happy that I could take the team to a place from where we can try to win the match.”
Virat said that the way his tournament went, he did not have that much confidence inside. When he was going to bat in the final he was doubtful that he would be able to bat the way he wanted to. So when he went to play, he hit three fours in the first four balls. What a game Cricket is!

PM Narendra Modi asked about Bumrah’s experience throughout the tournament. He joked that it must have been really difficult not to have any parathas to eat on that tour. PM Modi applauded him and told him that he did very well, he felt proud of his country.
Jasprit Bumrah replied to PM that whenever he bowls for India, he bowls at very crucial stages. He added that He bowls according to the situation. He also said that they were not getting anything like idlis, or parathas. They were managing with whatever they were getting.
Bumrah said, “This was a very good scenario. We were travelling back-to-back. As a team, the tournament went very well. This was my first World Cup win. I had never experienced so many emotions before. So I feel very proud and I have never experienced a better feeling than this to date.”
